In an effort to brighten the holiday season for families in need in our community, Mifflin Township is providing a limited number of meal baskets for Christmas dinner to those township residents who might otherwise go without.
Requests for a holiday dinner basket will be accepted through Friday, Dec. 19 for residents of Mifflin Township only. Residents requesting a meal basket must fill out the attached form. You will be asked to verify your identification and eligibility upon pick up. Proof of residency at the pick-up must include such documentation as a utility bill, government-issued ID with home address, or a signed and dated rental agreement showing that you live at an address in Mifflin Township.
Baskets will be distributed on Monday, Dec. 22. Applications will be reviewed ahead of time to ensure applicant eligibility, and you will be notified of your application acceptance prior to pick up; however, you are still required to bring identification and proof of residence to the pick up. Food baskets are limited to the first 50 eligible applicants.
