Police Levy Question & Answer Session to be Held Tonight

Interested in learning more about the police levy on the ballot in the Mifflin Township unincorporated area and what it would help to build in your community?

The Mifflin Township Police Chief William Price and Fire Chief Frederick Kauser will be on hand to answer your questions tonight, Tuesday, March 3 from 6:30 - 8 p.m. at the Centenary United Methodist Church, 2048 Denune Avenue.

Issue 16 asks voters to approve a 3-mill capital levy to fund the police portion only of a new public safety building in the unincorporated area. Support for Issue 16 will cost an average homeowner in the unincorporated area approximately $50 a year. The combined police and fire station would replace the two buildings located at 2459 Agler Road. The fire station is more than 50 years old and the police station was originally built as a community center. The construction also includes improvements to Mifflin Park, located next to the fire and police stations. Join us to learn more and to have your questions answered.
