At 6 a.m. this morning, the Ohio Telecommunicators Emergency Response Taskforce (Ohio TERT) departed Columbus for Lee County, Fort Myers, Florida to assist with the aftermath of Hurricane Ian. Approximately two dozen telecommunicators from around the state, including radio dispatchers, 911 dispatchers and supervisors, Multi-Agency Radio Communication System (MARCS) dispatchers, Motorola radio personnel, and MECC Dispatcher Lt. We wish them the very best and acknowledge their selfless sacrifice on this vital mission to Florida.
