At 6 a.m. this morning, the Ohio Telecommunicators Emergency Response Taskforce (Ohio TERT) departed Columbus for Lee County, Fort Myers, Florida to assist with the aftermath of Hurricane Ian. Approximately two dozen telecommunicators from around the state, including radio dispatchers, 911 dispatchers and supervisors, Multi-Agency Radio Communication System (MARCS) dispatchers, Motorola radio personnel, and MECC Dispatcher Lt. David Stockdale. Loaded with supplies, medicine, and food, this talented team will provide their skills over the next two weeks helping the hurricane victims. We wish them the very best and acknowledge their selfless sacrifice on this vital mission to Florida.

Ohio TERT is co-chaired by MECC Dispatcher Lt. Mory Fuhrmann and Cody Post, CAD Administrator for the City of Akron, and 2nd vice president for the Ohio Association if Public Communication Officials (APCO).
