Partners with local law enforcement to promote safe disposal of prescription drugs

National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day—a bi-annual event—aims to educate the community about the potential for abuse of medications and how proper disposal can help to protect families, the community and the environment as a whole. In Franklin County, SWACO partners with communities and local law enforcement to promote the mobile collection day and to make permanent collection sites available year-round.

WHAT:
US Drug Enforcement Agency’s National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day. This event is conducted across Franklin County at collection sites which provide families and residents a convenient, responsible way to dispose of unused or expired dry prescription medication.
This event is free and open to any resident of Franklin County.

WHEN:
Saturday, April 22 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
