SWACO offers free household hazardous waste collection events for Franklin County residents

Series of mobile collection events kick off this Saturday in Dublin

Households generate a wide range of poisonous, dangerous, flammable, and corrosive products, including lawn chemicals, solvents, household cleaners and pool chemicals. These materials should not be tossed out with household garbage but should be taken to a mobile collection event or SWACO’s facility located at 645 E. 8th Avenue in Columbus (43201).

SWACO is partnering with local communities to make it even easier to keep these Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) materials out of the Franklin County Sanitary Landfill by offering free drop-off events throughout central Ohio. SWACO contracts with Environmental Enterprises Incorporated (EEI) and partners with local communities to offer free residential recycling of HHW for Franklin County residents during these events.
